What will it look like?

I've been on this trip with skis during April and on foot during August.  I've included a few pictures here to give you an idea of what this magnificent area looks like.  Note that these pictures were taken in good weather.  Icefields aren't always like that!!

Each day, we will be hiking for up to 6-8 hours, depending on travel conditions.  I also expect we will be rising very early in the morning so that we can get some of each day's travel done before it gets too hot (assuming the weather is inclined that way!).  Be prepared for 5 am starts each day, possibly earlier if it is very hot.  You will have ample time to nap in the afternoon!!

As with any glacier, there will be crevasses.  For that reason, we will be traveling roped together for a good part of the trip.
