Walk the Wapta with the Saskatchewan Section 2005

The Wapta and Waputik Icefields lie between Peyto Lake to the north and Sherbrooke Lake near the Trans Canada Highway to the south, parallel to the Icefields Parkway about 30 minutes north of Lake Louise.  This classic traverse is almost entirely on the icefield involving extensive glacier travel and excellent views of peaks as you travel.

From July 15 to 18, 2005, the Saskatchewan Section will be offering a trip over this classic traverse.  Group size for this trip is limited to 12 participants.  Over a period of 4 days, participants will hike nearly 50 km, much over glaciated terrain, and stay at 3 ACC huts, the Whyte (Peyto), Balfour and Scott Duncan.  The trip leader will be Jesse Invik.  Listed below is some information that trip participants will need to know.
