The race will be a rogain (same format as last two years), where the teams plan the route and distance they want to cover and the team that collects the most checkpoint points wins.

This year’s race has several changes from previous years that are meant to make the race more enjoyable for the racers.

The location of the race this year (i.e. start, finish, and all transitions) will be at the Gabriel Dumont Park. The park entrance is on Sask Crescent W., South of the Rawlco Radio station.

A paddling section is included in the race. This is an optional section, so teams that are not comfortable in a canoe or on the water are not required to complete it. Canoes and paddling equipment are provided, but teams are allowed to use their own canoes and gear and will receive a $5/racer discount. The race format allows sharing of racer supplied canoes. Teams that register after the early registration deadline of Friday, May 27, are not guaranteed a canoe.

Solo racers are allowed to compete this year. Solo racers have to supply their own canoe (or kayak) if they want to participate in the paddling section.

Teams may be male, female, or co-ed teams of 2 or 3.

Prizes are awarded to the top three teams (must have completed the paddling section. All racers are eligible for draw prizes.
