Gopher Chase Adventure Race

An adventure over the trails, streets, and river of Saskatoon where you can challenge yourself, your friends and co-workers!
Teams will travel by foot, bike, canoe between checkpoints and challenges throughout the city, and try to cross the finish line first. This race is a step up from the Urban Adventure held in June and might become the Prairie Pitch again!

Completion Time: ~ 7 to 9 hours
BBQ and Awards 5:00 pm
The race is a point to point race with running, biking, and paddling sections
and various challenges. The team that crosses the finish line first wins.
The race will start and finish at Victoria Park (near the Boathouse) and will serve as the transition area for the race. Some bike to foot transitions (and vice versa) will not be at the transition area and some racers may want to carry the appropriate footwear with them.
Teams may be male, female, or co-ed teams of 2 or 3. Solo racers may also enter.
Prizes are awarded to the top three teams. All racers are eligible for draw prizes.
Entry fees:
$25/person ($35/person after Friday, September 9).
$5 discount for current ACC members.

General Gear
- Gear to change a tire mandatory
Paddling Gear (per team)
- Canoe and paddles
- Life jacket for each racer
- Racing canoes are not allowed in the race:
- Canoes must be under 17.5" in length and at least 32" at the 4" water line.
- Bailer and throw rope
- Soloist can use canoes/kayaks of any specification.
Teams must supply their own canoes and associated gear. Paddling gear can be dropped off at Victoria Park during the team check in time and picked up after the race. Gear can be rented for $25-$35/day from:

Forbidden Gear and Actions
- Maps not provided by race management
- Any mode of transportation not authorized by organizers
- Using GPS or Smartphone devices for navigation
