Day 1 started off with a hike up Marble Canyon, through Prospector Valley, to the Fay Hut, a very attractive log building constructed in 1927.  (Sadly, this hut was destroyed by a forest fire early in August, 2003.  Read more about this hut on the Alpine Club of Canada's website).
